CollegeBud provides college admissions tools, including but not limited to essay analysis, admissions probability simulations ("Smart Chancing"), and application tracking tools. The services are provided "as is" and "as available."

3. User Data & Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy.

• We only collect data that you voluntarily enter into the platform, such as your GPA, test scores, essay drafts, and extracurricular activities.
• This data is used solely to provide the services you requested (e.g., generating feedback on an essay or calculating admission chances).
• We do not scrape your data from external sources without your permission.

4. Educational & Advisory Disclaimer

• All results, scores, "chancing" percentages, and feedback provided by CollegeBud are estimates, predictions, and guesses only. They are generated using statistical models and artificial intelligence and do not reflect real-life decisions made by admissions officers.
• We are not an official admissions authority, and our tools do not represent the actual decision-making processes of any educational institution.
• CollegeBud shall not be held accountable for any college rejection, waitlist, or acceptance outcomes. You agree that you will not seek legal recourse against CollegeBud based on the accuracy of our predictions or the outcome of your college applications. Use your own judgment and consult with professional counselors when making important academic decisions.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from:

• Uploading content that infringes on any intellectual property rights.
• Attempting to interfere with the proper working of the simulation algorithms or website infrastructure.
• Using the service to generate fraudulent academic work.

6. Accounts and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (email and password).
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.

7. Subscription & Payments

• Certain features (e.g., Smart Chancing, unlimited essay reviews) may require a paid subscription.
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing terms presented at checkout.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via the dashboard. Access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.

8. Intellectual Property

All content provided by CollegeBud, including our logos, software code, essay analysis algorithms, and website design, is the property of CollegeBud and protected by copyright laws. You retain full ownership of the essays and personal data you input into the system.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
